Since starting Leeds College of art, I have found a new resurgence in my creative energies.
Being in such a flourishing environment adds such a positive outlook to my studies, however at the moment, I feel uncertain as to which niche of such a giant industry I wish to apply myself.
This doesn’t worry me at the moment, as I feel everybody will be feeling the same, as it is only natural. I plan to fully apply myself, in both learning new technical abilities and in developing more conceptually.
I am a strong believer in the phrase, “you get out what you put in”, which is why I plan to treasure such a great opportunity. I believer that I am the biggest independent variable in my studies, however, I really want to push the idea of working in groups, and learning form as well as teaching others new skills.
Upon finishing my degree, I hope to be a well-refined designer, who can call upon many different skills and resources, including a professional practise.
My strength tends to lie in experimentation; being able to follow concepts up into finished pieces. This is a good way of working„ although I feel I would be able to get better results if I was to be slightly more methodical in my approach.
I place the upmost importance in taking chances, stepping out of comfort zones and always pushing yourself.
