Over the summer I gave a lot of thought as to how I want to continue my studies, and realised that thinking is pretty much all I did. With lack of motivation being a massive factor, I started questioning whether I wanted to become a visual communicator, the answer being yes, definitely.
My first action point is to plug all my energy into everything I do from now on, this counts now, no more second chances or lazy days.
I feel I still hold a special place for graphic design, having studied it for two years at college, and it doesn’t always have to be boring corporate stuff, it’s such a wide spectrum and I feel like I need to really get saturated in this area, while not losing sight of other areas I am interested in, such as printmaking, which I am carrying on with my elective.
I want level 5 visual communications to be a gritty year with lots of home truths and lots of answers. I refuse to spend another year not feeling any surer about my area of practice.
